Unable to open an office file on Sharepoint server post M365App migration
Below is a small kb which allows you to resolve problems related to opening a file on a SharePoint OnPrem server from a client having migrated from Office 2016 to the M365Apps solution.
Clear Office cache :
- Close all Office 2016 app
- Navigate to C:\Users username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0
- Rename the folder 16.0 to 16.0_old
Rename the Registry Key
- Open "Regedit"
- Navigate to Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 16.0 \ Common \ ServicesManagerCache
- Rename ServicesManagerCache to ServicesManagerCache_old
